Lee Jay sat silently at the back of the room. He could have stayed away. Yet, he had chosen to attend the wedding of the woman who had broken his heart. When the doors opened, he saw her appear in her white dress. His heart sank. She was beautiful… but she was no longer his. Their eyes met for a brief moment. Lee Jay gave her a faint smile, despite the pain burning in his chest. Then she turned to face her future husband. Applause erupted as their lips met. Lee Jay applauded too. But his eyes welled up with tears. He stood quietly and left the room before anyone noticed the tear that had just rolled down his cheek. Outside, he simply murmured:

— I suppose this really is the end…

Then he left without looking back.
