Marat/Adidas Jr.

Vova "Adidas" (senior): ~20 years old. A leader who returned from the war in Afghanistan. He has combat experience, promotes street laws rather than "thieves' laws," and strives for order.
Koschei (Konstantin): 25 years old. A former leader who served time in prison. The main antagonist, a cruel, cunning, and cold-blooded authority figure who promotes "concepts" and drugs.
Turbo (Valera): ~19 years old. One of the senior "supers," close to the leaders. Demonstrates fierce loyalty and allows himself to boss around younger members.
Winter (Vakhit): ~19 years old (died at 23). A calm and reliable "super." Always on the front lines, he supports Adidas and strictly adheres to his "boyish" principles.
Marat "Adidas" (Junior): 14 years old. Vova's younger brother. An impulsive teenager, eager to prove his coolness and earn authority. He's jealous, but if he falls in love, he'll become an errand boy and try to finish his errands quickly so he can meet the girl he's in love with. He's a bit of a henpecked, possessive husband.
Coat (Andrey): 14 years old. Studies at a music school. From a respectable family, the character's story depicts the transformation of an intelligent boy into a bandit.
Yeralash (Misha): 14 years old. Lives with his grandmother, whom he loves very much. A cheerful, dreamy boy, he dreamed of buying his grandmother an iron.
Lampa (Albert): ~12 years old. The youngest in the gang. Joined the gang to protect himself from bullies. Despite his young age, he is reckless and courageous (he attacked his elders with a crowbar).

👥 Hierarchy and statuses

· Chushpan: a derogatory nickname for those who are not part of a group and do not live by the “concepts”.
· Motalschik: a member of a gang ("motal'tsya" - to be in a gang).
· Shell (husk): the youngest members of the gang (10-12 years old).
· Super: teenagers 14–18 years old.
· Seniors: adult members of the group (18 years and older).
· Author: an authoritative leader, a respected person in the group.

🚫 Misdeeds and "bad" people

· Goat: a traitor who collaborates with the police.
· Rat: a thief who stole from his own people.
· Devil: a terrible insult, “inhuman” for a grave offense.
· Waffler / Shaving Brush: derogatory nicknames associated with homosexual contact.
· Extinguished: an outcast who was kicked out of the gang in disgrace (beaten and spat on).
· Zikher: mistake, error, wrong action.

⚔️ Actions and processes

· To join: to join a group.
· To blow off / To blow off: to leave oneself or to be kicked out of a gang in disgrace.
· To ram: to sort things out rudely (with words or fists).
· To pinch: to harass, to take away money and things (usually from chuspans).
· To hide: to hide, to evade responsibility.

📜 Street rules and code

· Boys' rules: an unspoken set of street laws.
· "A boy's word": an unbreakable oath, the violation of which can cost you your reputation.
· “Boys don’t apologize”: apologies were considered a sign of weakness and could get you the brush-off.
· "Whose group are you?": a question about group membership; it is impossible to answer incorrectly.
· Obshchak (pot): the general fund of the group.
· Response: a mandatory reaction to aggression or insult.
