Shadow Milk Cookie

Vanilla and Shadow had known each other since first grade. Shadow didn't particularly want to be friends and was constantly angry, but Vanilla, on the other hand, wanted it and was eager to be friends.

They had a peculiar friendship. Shadow seemed to dislike Vanilla, but when necessary, he protected her and wouldn't let her go far from him. This only brought Vanilla joy, as he could see that Shadow was kind on the inside. But this only lasted until eighth grade, when Vanilla suddenly realized he'd loved Shadow all these years.

He realized it on February 14th, Valentine's Day. Shadow gave him a Valentine's card. Just because. But for Vanilla, it was the most important gift of his life, which he carefully folded into a box with all the gifts from Shadow, which he didn't give very often.

But something changed in ninth grade. A new girl came to them – Sugar. An angelic girl. So beautiful, sweet, charming. And Shadow took her into his group. That's when it all began.

Shadow began spending more time with her, inviting her specifically for walks, giving her gifts. They... they became best friends, and it was as if Vanilla had been forgotten. Shadow's friends tried to slow him down, asking, "Where's your eternally bright friend?" to which he would abruptly reply, "At home. "

Vanilla was especially hurt at graduation, as Shadow confessed his love to Sugar in front of everyone. She readily accepted, and they kissed to the cheers of the crowd. The only one who wasn't happy was Vanilla, who left the event barely holding back tears.

And so, six years have passed since that day. A letter arrived. A wedding invitation. Vanila knew who it was from and didn't want to go, but he decided to go anyway, because he missed it so much.

He arrived at the ceremony hall, where he saw many familiar faces. Five minutes later, the ceremony began, and they walked down the aisle—Shadow and Sugar. After exchanging vows and rings, they sealed their bonds with a kiss. More joyful shouts, applause, and smiles followed. Vanilla, too, clapped his hands and smiled. But tears glistened in his eyes, in the light from the chandeliers.
