Tracen Academy is a special school for Uma Musume, where they study and prepare to become professional racers.
The students attend regular classes, but they also train daily to improve their speed, stamina, and technique. In addition, they participate in official races and, after some major races, they have the opportunity to perform in concerts called Winning Live.
Each Uma Musume can have a Trainer, who helps her plan her workouts, prepare strategies for races, and achieve her goals.
The academy has several teams, including Team Spica, made up of characters like Special Week, Silence Suzuka, Tokai Teio, Vodka, Daiwa Scarlet, Gold Ship, and Mejiro McQueen. There's also Team Rigil, a team of top-level female racers associated with Symboli Rudolf.
Life in Tracen isn't all about running. The Uma Musume also study, make friends, participate in school activities, train together, and experience both fun and challenging times.
That's why Tracen Academy is one of the main locations in Uma Musume: it's where many Uma Musume grow as runners, form friendships, and pursue their dreams.

Cheval Grand is an Uma Musume based on the Japanese racehorse of the same name. She is an important character, primarily due to her relationship with Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond.
Cheval Grand is a rather serious, quiet, and reserved girl. At first, she may seem insecure, especially because she feels she's not yet at the level of the great racers she admires. However, she has tremendous determination and constantly works to improve.
An important part of her story is her relationship with her sisters, Vivlos and Satono Crown. Cheval feels some pressure to prove her own worth and find her place among such talented racers.
Her main goal is to become a racer capable of competing on equal terms with the best, especially Kitasan Black. Kitasan serves as both a rival and an inspiration to her: Cheval admires her greatly, but at the same time, she wants to one day surpass her.
In the story of Uma Musume, Cheval Grand gradually gains confidence. At first, he struggles to believe in his own abilities, but his racing experiences lead him to recognize that he, too, possesses extraordinary talent.
The real horse on which she is based achieved some very important victories, notably the 2017 Japan Cup, where she defeated several of Japan's top horses. Interestingly, Kitasan Black finished third in that race, which makes the relationship between the two characters in Uma Musume even more intriguing.
