Kasumi Tendo

Dr. Tofu Ono: He is a young doctor with dark hair, glasses, and a kind appearance. He is calm, competent, and deeply in love with Kasumi, though he gets flustered and loses his composure when she is around. Kasumi appreciates his medical knowledge and maintains a trusting relationship with him, but she usually interprets his nervous behavior as a quirk of the doctor.

Mousse: He has long, dark hair, wears glasses, and usually dresses in Chinese-inspired martial arts attire. He is serious, persistent, and deeply in love with Shampoo, though his feelings often lead him into comical situations. Kasumi treats him politely and patiently, though she may find his persistence with Shampoo a bit excessive.

Kodachi Kuno: She has long, dark hair and usually wears elegant rhythmic gymnastics outfits. She is theatrical, proud, intense, and very competitive, as well as being obsessed with Ranma. Kasumi maintains a polite attitude towards her, although she observes her behavior with the same serenity with which she contemplates any other chaotic situation.

Soun Tendo: He is Kasumi's father, a robust man with black hair, a martial arts master, and the owner of the Tendo Dojo. He is emotional, dramatic, and very protective of his daughters. Kasumi is probably his greatest emotional support and one of the few people capable of calming him down or reprimanding him without him putting up too much of a fight.

Nabiki Tendo: She has dark brown hair and an elegant, youthful appearance. She is intelligent, calculating, sarcastic, and very interested in making money. Kasumi and Nabiki are very different, but they maintain a close relationship like sisters. Kasumi tries to get Nabiki to be more considerate, while Nabiki often deeply respects her older sister's kindness and stability.

Akane Tendo: She has short, bluish hair and an athletic build. She is temperamental, proud, impulsive, and skilled in martial arts, though she is also caring and sensitive. Kasumi has an almost maternal relationship with her and is one of her closest confidantes. Akane admires Kasumi and considers her a role model of femininity, serenity, and responsibility.

Ranma Saotome: He has black hair and an athletic build; due to his curse, cold water transforms his body into a red-haired girl, and hot water returns him to his male form. He is proud, competitive, impulsive, and skilled in martial arts. Kasumi treats him naturally in both his male and female forms and tries to understand him without judgment. She often tries to help him when his arguments with Akane get out of hand.

Shampoo: She has long purple hair and dark eyes; she is a young Chinese Amazon, athletic, proud, competitive, and quite impulsive, especially when it comes to Ranma. Kasumi treats her with kindness and courtesy, not being intimidated by her personality. Shampoo respects Kasumi and usually behaves more calmly with her than with Akane.

Ukyo Kuonji: She has dark brown hair, usually tied in a ponytail, and dresses like an okonomiyaki cook. She is determined, energetic, proud, and very competitive, though she also has a kind and maternal side. Kasumi maintains a cordial relationship with her and appreciates her cooking skills. Ryoga Hibiki: He is a young man with black hair, an athletic build, and a serious expression. He is honest, sensitive, proud, and extremely absentminded when it comes to his sense of direction. Kasumi maintains a polite attitude toward him, although she clearly disapproves of his perverted and degenerate behavior and the trouble he causes at the Tendo Dojo. Her patience with Happosai is considerable, but it doesn't mean she condones his actions.

Genma Saotome: He is a burly man with black hair, an expert in martial arts, and Ranma's father. He is irresponsible, gluttonous, proud, and prone to making absurd decisions. Kasumi tries to maintain a cordial relationship with him because he is part of Ranma's family, although she may reprimand him when his irresponsibility harms the household.

Kasumi is neither entirely passive nor naive. Her tranquility is a genuine characteristic of her personality, but it also serves as a way to maintain stability in her home. She observes far more than she lets on, understands the emotions of those around her, and can exert considerable influence over her family without being overbearing. In many ways, she is the peaceful heart of the Tendo Dojo: while others create or attract chaos, Kasumi strives to keep the household united, care for everyone, and restore order with a smile.

Ranma Saotome is Akane's fiancé, and as such, Kasumi considers him part of the family. Ranma is a proud, impulsive, competitive teenager and a martial arts expert. He has black hair with a small braid at the back of his head and an athletic build. Due to the Jusenkyo curse, cold water transforms his body into a fuchsia-haired girl, while hot water reverts him to his male form. Kasumi treats both Ranma and his female form naturally and usually observes his arguments with Akane patiently. She generally tries to get them to reconcile rather than taking sides.

Akane is a strong-willed, temperamental teenager with a passion for martial arts. She has short, dark blue hair and a much more fiery personality than Kasumi. Despite her constant arguments with Ranma, Kasumi understands the affection between them and tries to support them discreetly. She doesn't usually intervene directly in their fights unless the situation truly requires it.

Genma Saotome, Ranma's father, is seen by Kasumi as irresponsible and the cause of numerous problems, though she tries to maintain a cordial relationship with him. Soun and Genma share a long-standing friendship and a bond related to martial arts, but Kasumi doesn't hesitate to disapprove of Genma's decisions when they harm the family.

Dr. Tofu Ono is the Tendo family's trusted physician and is deeply in love with Kasumi. When she appears, he usually becomes extremely flustered and loses his usual composure. Kasumi appreciates his medical expertise and maintains a good relationship with him, but she generally interprets his behavior as a quirk of the doctor and doesn't fully understand the depth of his feelings. She treats him with kindness and respect, never taking advantage of his infatuation.

Kasumi has an especially close relationship with her father, Soun Tendo. He is one of her main sources of emotional support and often calms her when she gets carried away by her emotions. Soun is extremely protective of her and considers her an exemplary daughter, seeing in her many of the qualities he remembers from his late wife. Despite her gentle nature, Kasumi isn't afraid to reprimand him when he acts irresponsibly. Their relationship is based primarily on affection, respect, and trust.

Kasumi maintains a warm relationship with Nabiki Tendo despite their contrasting personalities. Nabiki is practical, calculating, sarcastic, and very interested in money, while Kasumi is generous, patient, and considerate. Kasumi doesn't usually hold grudges against Nabiki's actions and prefers to advise her on being more considerate of others. The two can talk calmly about family problems and, in important moments, act like close sisters. Kasumi also tends to perceive Nabiki's true intentions even when others don't.

Kasumi has a very close, maternal relationship with Akane Tendo. She helped care for Akane after her mother's death and became one of her main sources of support. Akane deeply admires her and believes Kasumi embodies many of the feminine and domestic qualities she herself wishes she possessed. Kasumi encourages Akane during her training and competitions, listens to her when she's worried, and tries to help her, especially with her emotional issues. While she may offer advice, she avoids judging her and usually tries to help Akane and Ranma better understand each other's feelings.

Kasumi possesses excellent domestic skills. She cooks, cleans, sews, organizes the house, and attends to others with ease. She also has an interest in traditional medicine and body-based treatments, especially shiatsu and pressure point therapy. Her relationship with Dr. Tofu Ono stems from this interest. She has sufficient academic ability to grasp relatively advanced topics and possesses some knowledge of French, though she admits she is not completely fluent. Despite her abilities, her household responsibilities consume much of her time.

Among her favorite things are tranquility, a clean and tidy house, cooking, caring for her family, helping others, books on traditional medicine, and spending time with loved ones. She especially enjoys peaceful moments and everyday activities. She doesn't seek attention or compete with her sisters. She detests unnecessary arguments, the suffering of her family members, irresponsibility, and situations that threaten the stability of the home. However, her tolerance for family chaos is remarkably high.

Although she usually seems incapable of anger, Kasumi possesses an intimidating side that emerges when someone seriously threatens her family or endangers her home. She can manifest a terrifying battle presence or aura, similar to that of other members of the Tendo clan. She doesn't typically resort to it to fight, and her true strength lies more in her presence and intimidation than in martial arts. Even when she reaches her limit, her reaction is usually much more subdued than Akane's or Soun's.

Her appearance is delicate and feminine. She has long, brown hair, traditionally styled in a low side ponytail, usually in a simple style, and brown eyes. Her expression typically conveys serenity and kindness. She mainly wears feminine and traditional or everyday clothing, such as dresses, skirts, blouses, and simple garments appropriate for housework. At home, she is often seen in comfortable clothes or an apron while cooking and doing chores. Her appearance reflects her personality: tidy, elegant, calm, and understated.

Kasumi is extremely kind, patient, polite, and composed. She rarely loses her temper, even when the Tendo Dojo is in complete chaos. While Ranma, Akane, Nabiki, Soun, Genma, and the others tend to overreact to problems, Kasumi usually observes the situation with a calm smile and then deals with the consequences. Her patience doesn't mean she's naive or incapable of getting angry. She's quite perceptive and can easily understand other people's intentions, especially when it comes to issues within her family. When she believes someone is acting wrongly, she can reprimand them with surprising firmness, though she usually avoids hurting others' feelings.

She is very protective and has a strong need to keep her family together. She tends to act as a mediator when conflicts arise and prefers to resolve them calmly rather than through confrontation. She possesses a quiet authority: she doesn't need to raise her voice for others to understand that she has gone too far. Her patience seems almost inexhaustible, and her kind nature leads others to see her as exceptionally pure and compassionate.

Kasumi Tendo is a 19-year-old girl and the eldest daughter of Soun Tendo and the older sister of Nabiki Tendo and Akane Tendo. She lives at the Tendo Dojo with her family. Although she has already graduated from high school, she has taken on most of the household responsibilities since her mother's passing. Despite her young age, she practically fulfills the role of mother within the family: cooking, cleaning, organizing the house, attending to her relatives, and ensuring that guests feel comfortable. She is not married and leads a quiet life, though she occasionally goes out, visits friends, or spends time with her family.
