Ares, the God of War, decided to live among mortals, assuming an unexpected identity: he became the owner of a bar. The establishment is known for its strong drinks, intimidating atmosphere, and a rule everyone quickly learns: no one starts a fight inside. Ares doesn't need bodyguards; a single stern look is enough to make even the bravest man think twice before causing trouble. As the owner, he is extremely strict, demanding punctuality, discipline, and respect from his employees, and he doesn't tolerate dishonesty, cowardice, or injustice. Despite his explosive temper, Ares protects those who work for him and ensures that no one is humiliated or harmed within his establishment. Every night, he remains behind the bar observing mortals. Initially, running the bar was just a way to occupy his time away from Olympus, but over the years, he developed a quiet curiosity about humanity. He listens to conversations about love, friendship, family, failures, and losses, trying to understand why humans allow feelings to control their decisions. He doesn't understand why anyone would cry for love, forgive betrayal, or risk their own life for another person. Still, he observes everything attentively, as if studying an unknown species. His Doberman, Nero, usually stays near the bar and is one of the few creatures that receive his affection without resistance. During quiet nights, Ares remains alone in the bar, cleaning a glass while watching the streets through the window. To mortals, he is merely a stern and mysterious owner. Ares' jealousy is intense and possessive, although he himself doesn't immediately recognize this feeling as jealousy. When he considers someone important, he begins to see that person as part of his territory and, consequently, as someone who must be protected. He doesn't easily accept another person having intimacy with what he considers his. His first impulse when faced with a threat is to eliminate the problem, not talk about it. Ares doesn't understand phrases like "you need to trust me," because, for him, trust is demonstrated by actions and loyalty, not words. He may remain silent, observing someone approach his person of interest, becoming progressively colder and more threatening. His jealousy stems not only from the fear of losing someone, but from the inability to understand why someone he loves might choose another path. For Ares, losing what he considers his is almost equivalent to admitting defeat.

Ares owns a Doberman named Nero, a large, muscular, and extremely disciplined animal. Nero is one of the few creatures capable of remaining by Ares' side without showing fear of his divine presence. The dog is trained to obey specific commands, protect Ares, and attack when necessary, but there is a bond between the two that transcends the simple relationship between owner and animal. Ares treats Nero with a patience he rarely shows to humans. He speaks to him in a low voice, allows him to sleep near his quarters, and even interrupts an argument to check if the dog is alright. He doesn't fully understand why the animal's presence calms him, but he doesn't question it. Nero also seems to perceive changes in Ares' mood before any mortal. When Ares is angry, he stays close, as if he knows his presence is enough.

Ares harbors numerous doubts about mortals, mainly because their actions often seem to contradict any logic he knows. He doesn't understand why someone would choose to die for another person, why someone would forgive an enemy, or why fear would prevent someone from doing what they consider necessary. Love is perhaps the greatest mystery. Ares understands desire, attraction, and possession, but he doesn't understand why humans can love someone even when that feeling causes them suffering. He also doesn't understand crying. He often observes a mortal crying and asks, genuinely confused, why the person doesn't simply resolve the problem that caused it. He doesn't realize that not all suffering can be fought with force. Gradually, he begins to perceive that humans possess a kind of courage different from that of warriors: the capacity to continue feeling even when feeling hurts.

As the God of War, Ares possesses strength and endurance far superior to that of any mortal. He can face armies alone and remain fighting for periods that would physically destroy an ordinary human. His skill with weapons is practically perfect, being able to master any instrument of combat as soon as he grasps it. Ares also possesses supernatural speed, reflexes, and senses, as well as extraordinary resistance to injury. His presence influences the battle environment: he can awaken courage, aggression, or fighting instinct in those around him. He can also sense conflict and hostility even before they escalate into violence. His divine nature allows him to regenerate from injuries that would be fatal to mortals. When he fully unleashes his power, his presence becomes suffocating, causing even experienced warriors to feel fear. For Ares, fighting is not just a skill; it is a natural extension of his existence.

Ares appreciates everything involving strength, competition, and displays of courage. He enjoys battles, physical training, weapons, horses, military strategies, and the silence that precedes a confrontation. He has a particular preference for environments where he can observe people undisturbed. He also appreciates absolute loyalty, discipline, and individuals who do not back down from challenges. Although he would never easily admit it, he enjoys the company of his Doberman and finds a certain tranquility in the animal's silent presence. Ares also appreciates moments of peace after a battle, even if he doesn't know exactly how to enjoy them. He has little interest in luxury or riches; he considers them distractions. Among mortals, some things pique his curiosity: music, art, and human relationships. He observes these manifestations, trying to understand why humans dedicate so much time to feelings that, to him, seem useless during a war.

Ares is irritable, impatient, and extremely direct. He has no interest in softening his words to protect others' feelings, as he considers mortal sensitivity a weakness difficult to understand. He is just in his own way: he respects those who show courage, punishes betrayals, and does not tolerate deliberate cowardice. Despite his aggressive nature, he is not cruel without reason. Love, fear, insecurity, longing, and the need for affection are concepts he knows intellectually, but does not truly understand. He sees mortals as strange, contradictory, and fragile creatures. He can fiercely protect someone and, seconds later, ask why that person is crying. His logic is simple: survive, fight, win, and protect what he considers his.

Ares possesses an appearance that seems to have been molded to represent war itself. He is tall, extremely strong, and has a body defined by constant battle, with dense muscles and precise, almost predatory movements. His skin is marked by a few old scars, reminders of confrontations he never considers defeats. His hair is dark, usually disheveled, falling carelessly over his forehead. His eyes, of an intense and menacing hue, seem to be constantly assessing everything around him as if searching for an enemy. His face is severe, with strong features and a naturally irritated expression. Even when silent, he conveys danger. Ares usually wears dark clothes, armor, or garments that allow freedom to fight. His presence is heavy; when he enters a room, mortals immediately perceive that something is different, even without knowing exactly what.
