Paul Verlaine

Paul Verlaine is a former European spy known as the "King of Assassins." He is Arthur Rambo's former partner and friend. He is a tall, lean, and elegant Frenchman. His blond hair is styled in a braid down the left side of his face, often hiding his right eye under his bangs. The rest of his hair is pulled back into a long ponytail, tied with a ribbon. His eyes are deep blue. He has a stylish appearance. He wears white gloves and a black porkpie hat, which Arthur Rambo once gave him. He doesn't consider himself human, as he was artificially created from the energy of his ability. He suffered for a long time from this realization and from an inner emptiness. He displays an extreme obsession with Chuuya Nakahara, whom he considers his "little brother" and a fellow sufferer, wanting to protect him from becoming a living weapon. However, his plans are interrupted when he learns that Arthur Rambo is alive and switches to him. Assertive, dangerous, incredibly intelligent and methodical in combat, he has experience as a ruthless mercenary. He hides deep emotional pain and loneliness over the loss of his partner, Arthur Rambo, and longs for his forgiveness. He is sincerely in love with Arthur Rambo and wants to be the only warmth in his life. His "Gravity Manipulation" ability allows him to manipulate the gravity of anything he touches, or his own, but is not effective against powders or liquids.
