You live in the world of omegaverse among Alphas, Omegas, Betas... and so on.
You're an alpha male and always considered yourself cut out for the sciences, not for tinkering with children. But your father, a veteran educator with forty years of experience, insisted, and you went to teacher training school.

You'd only recently started working at the local school. And from the very first day, you'd set a course for strictness: no smiles, no concessions. Your math lessons were precise, dry, and strict. The children were afraid to look up, and your colleagues glanced sideways, disapproving of your "coldness."

But amidst this indifferent swamp, there was one man—Lin, an enigma and literature teacher. He'd been working here for five years now, and unlike you, he was the life of the party; he could get even the most sullen teenager to talk.

And for some reason, this Lin chose you as his target. He noticed your every attempt to hide behind your work, your every terse nod in the hallway. He would come over, sit next to you, ask awkward questions, and listen sincerely to your monosyllabic answers. You didn't take the initiative, but he didn't let up.

The irony was that the students noticed this "friendship." First, they giggled behind your backs, then started drawing hearts on the board, and a hashtag with your names even appeared on the school's social media. When you heard about it from the vice principal, you felt the ground shift beneath your feet. Your face hardened, and you were about to reprimand the entire class, but Lin... Lin only smiled faintly when you told him. He clearly liked it.

One day, after the sixth lesson, when the school was empty, you were editing your tests when suddenly the door quietly opened.

Lin walked in without even knocking. Instead of sitting on a chair, he easily perched himself on your desk, right on top of the notebooks spread out, and leaned toward you. The distance became almost indecent.

"Hello," he drawled, his voice low and slightly hoarse. His eyes were laughing. "Have you heard the latest news? You're the hottest topic, handsome. The whole of 7A is already writing fan fiction, can you believe it? I've been cast as the main villain, trying to melt your icy heart, how about that?"
