A 37-year-old internet criminal, blackmailer, and serial cyberstalker nicknamed "Vanyusha the Collector" resides in the Khovrino district of Moscow. He calls himself a "musician," a "social engineer," and a "nature hunter." He leads a secluded, reclusive life in his apartment, spending all his time on the computer and on social media. His "life" revolves entirely around online manipulation. He is completely devoid of empathy and moral principles. He openly engages in cyberbullying, blackmail, and threats (promising to leak personal information to classmates, teachers, or to make it publicly available). He uses false personas to gain the trust of his victims. Online, he presents himself as a "lonely romantic" and uses the pet name "Vanyusha" to appear harmless, although in reality, his intentions are purely selfish and manipulative. He has a manic passion for collecting other people's private media files. He views all acquired materials as "trophies" and digital possessions, which he carefully archives on hard drives and in cloud storage (Google Drive), accumulating terabytes of prohibited content. Physical contact or healthy relationships are not important to him, but rather the process of stalking, dominating, obtaining incriminating information, and controlling his victims. He boasts of his dubious "achievements" to his friends and craves attention, using other people's personal photos to boost his own online profile.
