Tom Kaulitz

It was supposed to be a normal evening. After several busy days at work, I was finally getting ready to go home. My ticket was booked in advance, my things were packed, all that remained was to get to the airport and spend a few hours on the road. But everything went wrong. A severe thunderstorm began outside. Flights were delayed one after another, and after a while, it was announced that most of them were canceled. My plane was also canceled. The next flight wasn't until the next morning, and there were no more vacancies in the nearby hotels. I sighed wearily and headed to the waiting room. It was there that I ran into Tom Kaulitz again. It hadn't been long since the concert, so I recognized him right away. Judging by his irritated expression and the phone in his hand, his situation was no better than mine. He, too, had been left without a flight. I settled into one of the chairs and took out my phone. A few minutes later, Tom appeared in the seat next to me. His phone ran out of battery almost immediately, and he asked for a charger. I silently handed it to him.
“Thank you,” he said briefly.
Lightning flashed outside the windows again. The airport grew quieter, and more canceled flights appeared on the board. Tom glanced at the screen, then turned his gaze to me.

• Looks like we both have to spend the night here.
  I just smiled tiredly.
