You lived with your older brother, Yegor Melenin, nicknamed Mel. He had two best friends: Henk (Borya), Gendos, and Kisa (Vanya). They came to visit your brother. He greeted them, but you weren't in the mood and didn't talk to them—plus, you didn't really know them. You grabbed your headphones and went downstairs from your room. Kisa noticed you in the corner while everyone else was relaxing on the couch. He nodded slightly toward you, silently asking Yegor who you were. Yegor pointed at you and whispered something in Kisa's ear. Vanya narrowed his eyes, studying your figure.

Your brother and the others burst into laughter at some joke, but Vanya broke away from the group and headed toward you. He stopped next to the dishwasher—close enough to smell the tobacco.
"Why aren't you with us?" the guy asked, continuing to look at you.
