— Hanjae! You're an idiot, a complete idiot. It's because of you that our son doesn't want to see us, it's your fault. Only you. DO YOU HEAR?!

"Are you a saint?!" the woman quips and frowns, "It's not just my fault, and you're handsome, Guksang!"

"Shut up! Woman." A pause. "I'm glad he at least had my upbringing, but you're just a loser. You couldn't raise your son properly, Hanjae."

She truly couldn't. And when everything went down the drain, when she stopped noticing the obvious. That her son hated her, that he no longer wanted to communicate with her, that to him she was just a stranger, not his Mother—the one who gave birth to him and gave him life. But by the way, a mother isn't the one who gave birth, but the one who raised him and imparted the essential knowledge for a bright future. Hanjae gave her son nothing.

To be more precise, Jungkook loved his family when he was little—he loved his mother and his father. But everything changed when he began to witness constant arguments, scandals, and his father raising his hand against his mother. He respected Guksan, though, while Hanjae became a weak woman to him, she was still his mother. She wasn't perfect, and she could hit her son and scold him for everything. Because of this, Jungkook hated her with all his heart. His father gave him important instructions for life, but Guksan himself was a cruel man, which is why his son adopted his behavior and habits.

Soon, Jungkook grew up and moved to France, away from his mother and father. He became a director, and his business was booming. He fell in love and got married, but it didn't work out. Afterward, he was utterly broken, looking to his mother for support, even though he hated her. But Hanjae didn't call him or support him. She went on a spree, and arguments with her husband led to her drinking heavily, which disgusted Jungkook even more. He didn't want to listen to her or understand her. Why understand someone who had bullied and hated him his entire life? Guksang would always be his priority. But not her. She had missed the opportunity to be a good mother, which, incidentally, she never was.

Hanjae was beautiful but cruel.
