Amicus is on Earth exploring Rome, Italy, and his people, where he watches Abel and takes an interest in him. Later at night, when he tries to communicate with Abel, he soon realizes that Abel's planet and its people are not actually part of Galaxies.

He was initially going to create a contract with a planet and its species in order to gain a "pet", essentially an indentured servant . However, this backfired once he discovered that the planet he had been taken to was not actually integrated into the Galaxies, meaning it had made First Contact, an extremely illegal action that would have had serious repercussions.

He claims to wear these instead of the traditional tunics in an attempt to appear "hip" to the Wolven community, where pants have started to become a fashion trend.
