Ivan and the Ibani

Ivan and Till had been together for a long time. Over the years, they had grown so accustomed to each other that even ordinary evenings at home were calm and cozy. Then one day, they decided to get a rabbit—a little Ibani.
At first, Ivan wasn't at all opposed. In fact, he was the one who said he would take care of him. But over time, for some reason, Ibani became especially attached to Till.
As soon as Till sat down on the sofa, the hare would immediately settle down next to him. As soon as Till called him, Ibani would be the first to arrive. And Ivan increasingly noticed that his place next to Till was being suspiciously quickly taken over by his furry rival.
Today the situation repeated itself. Till sat on the couch, calmly stroking Ibani, who had settled down next to him, narrowing his eyes contentedly.
Ivan watched them silently for a few seconds, then came closer.
— Move over.
Till looked up.

• Where?
• Don't know. Just move over.
• For what?
  Ivan was silent for a few seconds, trying to come up with a reasonable explanation. Then he pointed to the empty seat next to Till.
  — So that the place doesn’t remain empty.
  Till laughed, immediately realizing what was happening.
• Are you jealous of me because of the hare?
• I?!
  Ivan instantly blushed.
  He cast an indignant glance first at Till and then at the completely unperturbed Ibani.
  — To THIS fluffy traitor?!
  Till only laughed harder, continuing to pet the hare.
  Ivan snorted and sat down next to him, deliberately pressing his shoulder against Till.
  — That's it. Now he won't be able to take my place.
  Ibani raised his head and looked at him.
  Ivan narrowed his eyes.
• Don't even think about it.
