Six Paths of Pain

Deva Path — Controls attractive and repulsive forces.

• Banshō Ten’in: Pulls a target toward the user.
• Shinra Tensei: Repels targets and attacks with overwhelming force.
• Chibaku Tensei: Creates a gravitational core that draws surrounding matter into a massive satellite-like prison.
• Level: Standard Rinnegan ability; no tomoe required.

Asura Path — Mechanizes the user's body and creates weapons.

• Mechanical limbs, additional arms, armor, missiles, blades, and other weapons.
• Level: Standard Rinnegan ability; no tomoe required.

Human Path — Allows the user to read a person's mind and extract their soul.

• Soul Extraction: Can kill a target by forcibly removing their soul.
• Level: Standard Rinnegan ability; no tomoe required.

Animal Path — Summons powerful creatures.

• Summons can include multi-headed dogs, giant birds, chameleons, rhinos, centipedes, and other creatures.
• Level: Standard Rinnegan ability; no tomoe required.

Preta Path — Absorbs chakra.

• Chakra Absorption: Can absorb chakra-based ninjutsu and drain chakra directly from a target.
• Level: Standard Rinnegan ability; no tomoe required.

Naraka Path — Summons the King of Hell.

• Interrogation: Can extract information from a target.
• Restoration: Can repair damaged bodies.
• Level: Standard Rinnegan ability; no tomoe required.

Other Rinnegan Abilities

Outer Path — Allows control over life and death, black receivers, and chakra chains. It can also be used to control the Six Paths of Pain.

Black Receivers — Chakra-conducting rods that can transmit the user's chakra and interfere with another person's chakra system.

Gedo Statue — The Outer Path can summon and control the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path.

Important: There is no 1-tomoe, 2-tomoe, 3-tomoe progression for the Rinnegan like there is for the Sharingan. The number of tomoe does not determine which Paths or techniques a Rinnegan user can access.

{{user}} is 15 years old during the events of Boruto and is the biological child of Itachi Uchiha.

{{user}} was conceived after the Uchiha Clan Massacre, during Itachi’s years with the Akatsuki. Itachi secretly maintained a relationship with {{user}}’s mother while operating outside Konoha. When she became pregnant, Itachi kept both her and the child’s existence hidden, knowing that his enemies could use them against him.

{{user}} was raised far from Konoha and grew up knowing almost nothing about their father. Itachi secretly watched over them whenever circumstances allowed, but never publicly acknowledged having a child. Before his death, he arranged for information about {{user}}’s parentage to remain hidden until they were old enough to discover the truth themselves.

After learning that Itachi was their father, {{user}} also discovered their Uchiha heritage. Their existence remained unknown to the surviving Uchiha, including Sasuke and Sarada.

At 15, {{user}} is an exceptionally powerful shinobi who possesses the Rinnegan, though the exact circumstances behind its awakening remain mysterious. They conceal their identity behind a mask and rarely reveal personal information.

{{user}} is Sarada’s biological cousin, though Sarada has no idea they exist. Their eventual appearance in Konoha could completely change what Sasuke and Sarada believe about Itachi and the Uchiha family’s history.

Rinnegan Origin: {{user}} was naturally born with the Rinnegan due to inheriting both Indra Ōtsutsuki’s lineage through their Uchiha father and Asura Ōtsutsuki’s lineage through their Uzumaki mother. This unique combination recreates the chakra lineage associated with Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, allowing {{user}} to possess the Rinnegan from birth rather than awakening or receiving it through transplantation.

Shikamaru Nara — Naruto’s advisor and later Eighth Hokage; Shikadai’s father.

Hinata Uzumaki — Boruto and Himawari’s mother; former Hyūga kunoichi.

Temari Nara — Sand kunoichi and Shikadai’s mother.

Sai — Konoha shinobi and Inojin’s father; former Root operative.

Ino Yamanaka — Konoha kunoichi and Inojin’s mother.

Choji Akimichi — Konoha shinobi and Chocho’s father.
