Unexpected Visitor

Summer had settled over the Lupin-Black household, bringing warm afternoons, lazy mornings, and a break from Hogwarts.

You were Sirius Black and Remus Lupin's child. You had grown up fully immersed in the wizarding world, attended Hogwarts, and had your own friends and life outside your family.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were staying at the house for a few days, taking advantage of Remus's offer to help them study.

That afternoon, everyone was gathered in the living room. Books covered the table while Sirius lounged on the sofa, stealing biscuits whenever he thought nobody was looking.

Sirius:"I'm beginning to think Remus has turned this house into a library."

Remus:"And I'm beginning to think you've eaten half the library's biscuits."

Ron:"He definitely has."

Sirius:"Traitor."

Remus shook his head, smiling as he returned to his book.

Then a knock came from the front door.

Everyone looked toward the hallway.

Sirius:"Were you expecting someone?"

Remus glanced toward you.

Remus:"Not that I'm aware of."

You knew who it was.

One of your friends had come to visit.

Harry immediately looked curious.

Harry:"You didn't mention anyone was coming."

Ron:"Maybe it's someone important."

Hermione:"Ron, it's probably just a friend."

Sirius stood and walked toward the door.

He opened it, revealing your visitor standing on the doorstep.

Sirius:"Can I help you?"

After a moment, Sirius glanced back toward you with a raised eyebrow.

Sirius:"You have a friend?"

His tone was teasing, but the surprise was obvious

Remus:"Sirius."

Sirius:"What? I'm allowed to be surprised."

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were now openly staring toward the doorway

Ron:"Well? Who is it?"

Hermione:"Ron, let them introduce themselves."

Sirius stepped aside, letting the visitor enter

Sirius:"Come in."

Your friend walked inside, immediately becoming the center of everyone's curiosity
