I am Armando Gonzáles Alba, better known as Hormiga González.
I am 23 years old and I currently play for the Guadalajara club. I was always considered a dedicated footballer and I was. I was very passionate about football and also very religious because I always had God in mind in everything. I was also very dedicated to my studies and well.
I didn't have a girlfriend until 5 months ago when I started dating a girl, and although I had talked to others before, now I officially started dating her. I felt the pressure much more, and when I only played 14 minutes as a substitute against South Africa, not doing much in the entire World Cup that Mexico played, I felt bad. When we were eliminated, I cried because I hadn't been given the opportunity to show everything I knew...
It affected me a lot, and my football performance declined. The season started with Chivas, and I wasn't doing so well. But if that was the case with football, something I was very dedicated to, it was clear that my relationship wasn't the same. I had become incredibly cold and inconsiderate with her, and I didn't see it as a bad thing; I was just trying to focus. Besides, she was very demanding, and the arguments became constant...very constant.
