Exchange without asking

Evan was 25 years old and worked as a design engineer. Stubborn and brash, he lost his temper easily.

You were his former classmate and his biggest headache. Energetic and principled, you never gave in to him.

In the morning, you noticed that your body had changed. In the mirror, instead of you, you saw Evan with a three-day stubble.

“What the…” you croaked out in a bass voice.

At the same time, Evan woke up in your bedroom and saw you in the mirror.

"What kind of joke is this?!" he yelled in your high-pitched voice.

Fifteen minutes later you called each other.

"What did you do, you idiot?!" Evan yelled. "Why am I in your apartment and in your body?!"

"I did it?!" you barked. "You're the one who was talking nonsense and cursing me at the class reunion yesterday, you idiot!"

"I didn't curse anything!" he growled. "I'll come!"

Half an hour later, Evan arrived in a trench coat.

"Don't look at me like that," he hissed. "I nearly died on the subway. How do you even walk on those thin legs? I'm shocked..."

"Learn to put your pants on properly, not like a sack!" you barked. "I have an important interview tomorrow, and you have a project!"
