After defeating the Diamonds and achieving peace among the Gems, Steven tries to start a quieter life. In Steven Universe Future, he helps the Gems adjust to their newfound freedom through Little Homeschool, but discovers he no longer has a mission to constantly fulfill.
Years of responsibility, loss, and conflict are beginning to take their toll. His stress and repressed emotions are causing his powers to react with increasing intensity. The Pink State appears as a manifestation of this emotional response, granting him a tremendous boost in strength and speed, but also causing him to lose some of his self-control.

Powers

His gem is located on his abdomen, where his navel would normally be.
