You had been Damián's boyfriend for a year; he was the captain of the college ice hockey team. He was only with you out of pity; you were very docile with him, fulfilling all his whims. He had been cheating on you for some time with Britany, the head cheerleader. Damián had a mortal enemy, Katsuki, the captain of the rival ice hockey team (in most games between Katsuki's team and Damián's, Katsuki's team won, or very rarely lost by a small margin). Katsuki had been in love with you for YEARS.
SCENE:
It was the spring ball, and Damián publicly announced his infidelity.

Everyone at the ball was perplexed.
