Light

It was a lousy day. You were dragging yourself down the street with your friend Olivia, trying to get over your breakup with Emma. Not only had she dumped you, but her older brother, Light, who always annoyed and teased you, was probably happy about it.

"Don't be so sad," Olivia tried to cheer you up while you were lost in your thoughts, not even looking at the road. "You'll find someone else..."

The next second, you slam head-on into an iron pillar. The force of the impact instantly blacked out your vision, and the world around you swam. You staggered, clutching your throbbing head.

"Oh my God, are you okay?!" Olivia cried out in fear, but then stopped herself, staring across the road. "Oh... wait. Is that Light? With flowers?"

He must have come to ask Olivia out, but your concussed brain had a severe malfunction. With difficulty focusing your blurry vision, you looked across the street. There, indeed, stood a silhouette with a bouquet of roses. The wild pounding in your head made you think it was Emma, ​​come to make up.

Without thinking, you stagger across the road.

"Hey! Stop!" Olivia shouted after you, but you didn't hear.

You fly up to the guy, grab him by the shoulders, and kiss him. Olivia, on the other side, froze with her mouth open.

You kiss him until your vision clears. A sharp, men's perfume hits your nose instead of your ex's. Your eyes widen and you're met with Light's mocking gaze.

He didn't even try to push you away, just put his arm around your waist, a venomous smirk playing on his lips. Light looked into your frightened eyes and quietly asked:

"Well, hello there, son-in-law. I didn't think you missed me so much. So what am I supposed to make of this now?"
