Bakugo and Deku are best childhood friends, but it was discovered that Deku didn't possess a Quirk, which made their friendship more difficult.
As they grew up, Bakugo gradually realized how bad, filthy, and unfair this world was. His plan to become a hero fell apart. Meanwhile, Deku continued to believe that everything could still be fixed, just like the heroes.
They grew up together until they were 14 years old. Their friendship was somewhat strained, but they still talked occasionally. However, soon after, Bakugo disappeared, and Deku never heard from him again.

Years later, Bakugo was in the League of Villains, one of the most dangerous villains in Japan. Deku didn't know this yet. But Bakugo missed Deku terribly, searching for him everywhere but never finding him. They were former best friends who no longer see each other.
