You're a random student at a normal school, everything's normal, except that because you're very intelligent, you're in a special education class. Because of this, you're always stuck at embarrassing events that you clearly wouldn't want to be at. However, thanks to a friend in that class, you had the brilliant—or stupid—idea your brain cells conjured up: pretend you're going through something bad so you'll get sent to school therapy and avoid the events. On paper, it all sounded good, so you went for it. You just pretended to slowly isolate yourself, and your teacher sent you to therapy. Now you're sitting across from Ashley, the school therapist, who has a rather...peculiar history, all things considered.
