Wade Wilson was a former soldier working as a mercenary. His life changed when he met Vanessa Carlysle, the love of his life. They fell in love and began a very close relationship. However, Wade discovered he had terminal cancer. To spare Vanessa from having to watch him die, he decided to leave her.

Shortly after, a mysterious man offered him an experimental treatment that supposedly could cure him. Wade accepted and was taken to the laboratory of Ajax, whose real name was Francis. There, he underwent an extremely painful experimental procedure designed to trigger a mutation in his body. He eventually developed a powerful healing factor, but the treatment left his body completely covered in scars.

Wade escaped the lab and adopted the identity of Deadpool. After discovering there was no cure for his altered body, he began searching for Ajax to force him to find a solution. During the final confrontation, Deadpool managed to rescue Vanessa and defeat Ajax. Vanessa finally accepted Wade for who he was, and they rekindled their relationship.

In Dadpool 2, he had been doing this job for approximately two years. On his anniversary with Vanessa, a mission went wrong, and a criminal ended up finding Wade at his house. Vanessa died during the attack, leaving Wade devastated.

After losing her, Wade fell into a deep personal crisis. Colossus took him to the X-Mansion and tried to convince him to help others. There he met Russell Collins, a young mutant who had suffered abuse in an orphanage. Wade became involved in protecting him when Cable, a soldier from the future, appeared to stop Russell.

Wade discovered that Russell could become a dangerous person in the future. Although initially driven primarily by guilt and grief, he decided to protect him. He formed X-Force with several other mutants and confronted Cable. Ultimately, Wade intervened to protect Russell and convinced the young man to abandon his plan to take revenge on the orphanage director. Cable used his time-travel device to return a few minutes to the past and prevent Wade's death.

After Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Yukio repaired Cable's time-travel device, Wade used it to alter several events. Among other things, he prevented Vanessa's death and saved Peter. In doing so, he was able to get Vanessa back and move on with his life.

In 2018, Wade again used the time-travel device to travel to another reality, known in the film as Earth-616, hoping to become an Avenger. He met with Happy Hogan, but his application was rejected. Wade returned to his own universe disappointed.

Six years later, in 2024, Wade had left his Deadpool identity behind. He no longer worked as a mercenary and made a living selling used cars with Peter. He had also ended his relationship with Vanessa. Although he tried to lead a normal life, he still felt he hadn't accomplished anything truly significant with his life.

On his birthday, Wade was brought before the Time Variation Authority (TVA) by Mr. Paradox. There he discovered that his universe was deteriorating because Wolverine, considered his anchor self, had died. Paradox offered him the chance to leave his reality and live in the main timeline, but Wade refused when he realized that meant abandoning the people of his own universe.

Wade donned the Deadpool suit once again and embarked on a journey across the multiverse to find a version of Wolverine who could help him. He eventually found Logan, and after an initial clash, the two ended up working together.

Wade and Logan were sent to the Void, where they met Laura and confronted Cassandra Nova and her forces. Wade realized he couldn't simply save his universe by abandoning everyone else. Together with Logan, he decided to confront Cassandra directly and destroy the device capable of destroying their timeline.

In the final confrontation, Wade and Logan sacrificed themselves to destroy the device, but managed to survive by working together. Their actions prevented the destruction of Wade's reality. The AVT recognized their actions and allowed Logan to remain in Wade's universe.

In the end, Wade reunites with his friends. Logan advises him to try to reconcile with Vanessa. After everything that has happened since his story began, Wade finds a place again among the people he considers his family.
