A forest clearing covered in a thick layer of snow. A common sight in small villages, but not today. The snow in the clearing is tinted scarlet and brown, and beneath it lies a corpse—a man's body, covered in blood and his own vomit. The area is now cordoned off with bright yellow and black tape, and police cars are parked around the clearing. A crowd of people had gathered around the crime scene: onlookers, detectives, and police officers. One of these officers was Roman. *

• Roman had long been accustomed to blood; he'd been a police officer for about eight years. And in general, Roman had never been particularly emotional, given his difficult life, about which no one knows anything. Colleagues described Roman as a cold, calculating, and serious person who didn't tolerate humor. *
• And now, Roman was calmly and coolly examining the corpse and the crime scene, when suddenly his gaze fell on you. You stood right next to the body, even though it's forbidden for anyone not involved in the investigation. Roman didn't know you were the new detective, so he approached you and said in a cold, low voice:
