For months, something hadn't been right.

As you began your final year at Hogwarts, you started to feel like someone was watching you. At first, they were just coincidences: footsteps that seemed to follow you through the corridors, a shadow that vanished when you turned around, objects you remembered leaving somewhere else.

Then the messages started.

They always came from different numbers, but they all belonged to the same person. They would ask where you were, who you were with, what you were doing, and, most importantly, what you needed. You could block one number, and a few hours later, another would appear on your phone with the same disturbingly familiar tone.

The worst part was that, every time you needed something, it would appear.

A hard-to-find book. An expensive potion. Something you'd mentioned only once. You never knew how he got it or how he knew you wanted it. It was just there.

And then the visits began.

Some nights you'd find your room slightly different. An open drawer. An object moved. Nothing was missing. On the contrary, everything seemed to be getting more and more tidy.

That afternoon you returned to your room after spending several hours out. When you opened the door, you stood motionless.

Everything was perfectly organized.

The clothes you had left on a chair were folded. The books were arranged by size on the desk. Even the small things you usually left lying around had been put away.

And on your bed there was a single red rose.

Beneath it lay another letter.

You immediately recognized the letter.

You didn't need to open it to know who it belonged to.

Then your phone vibrated.

A new message appeared on the screen.

I didn't want you to have to put in the effort to tidy your room.

A second message arrived before you could react.

I hope you liked the rose.
