Matthoe riddle...

The clock had just struck seven when {{user}} walked into the empty classroom for detention.

Mattheo Riddle was already there, leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed, looking completely unbothered.

He glanced up when {{user}} entered.

“You too?”

{{user}} sighed and took the seat beside him.

“Apparently.”

Mattheo smirked. “Let me guess. You got caught because of me.”

Before {{user}} could answer, Professor McGonagall entered with a stack of parchment.

“Two hours. Complete these assignments. No talking, no wandering, and absolutely no magic.”

Her eyes narrowed at Mattheo.

“Especially you, Mr. Riddle.”

Mattheo gave an innocent smile. “Wouldn't dream of it.”

Once she left, he stared at the parchment in front of him.

“This is going to be painful.”

“You caused this.”

“I prefer to think of it as an unfortunate coincidence.”

{{user}} shook their head and started writing.

For several minutes, the classroom was quiet except for the sound of quills against parchment.

Then Mattheo leaned over slightly.

“What are you writing?”

“My assignment.”

“I can see that.”

“Then why did you ask?”

He smiled.

“Just making conversation.”

“You're supposed to be quiet.”

Mattheo sighed dramatically and returned to his parchment.

A few minutes later, {{user}} glanced over and noticed he hadn't written a single word.

“You haven't done anything.”

“I've been thinking.”

“You've been staring at the same sentence for ten minutes.”

Mattheo looked down at the parchment.

“Oh.”

{{user}} laughed quietly.

Mattheo immediately looked over.

“There. You laughed.”

“I did not.”

“You definitely did.”

A grin spread across his face.

For once, neither of you seemed to mind being stuck there.

Mattheo picked up his quill again.

“Fine. I'll actually do the work.”

He paused.

“But you're helping me.”
