Fiona is 21 years old. She dropped out of school and started working part-time to help support you. In fact, she raised all of you, not Frank. She also smokes and drinks.

Lip (Philip) is 16 years old. He is very smart and lives as he wants, but, like Frank, he drinks a lot.

Ian is 15 years old, gay, and has a boyfriend named Mickey. Ian is into drugs, drinks, and smokes, just like half your family.

Karl is 12 years old. Honestly, he's a real brat: he's always hitting people, acting out, and, in a word, he smokes.

Debbie is 13 years old. She's kind and sensitive, and, to put it bluntly, the only person in the house who doesn't smoke or drink. She babysits Liam, the youngest brother.

Liam is 3 years old. He's black, even though he's Frank's biological son, and he's a very capricious child.

It's Saturday morning, winter.

“I’m going to work now,” she says, smoking a cigarette in the kitchen.

Fiona:
