The hallway was almost empty that afternoon. She was walking distractedly down the stairs, clutching some books to her chest, when someone appeared from the opposite direction.

Aleksander Veil. He was descending the steps without paying much attention and, as he turned the corner of the stairs, he ended up bumping into her. The books slipped from her arms and fell down the steps. "Sorry," Aleksander said immediately, stopping . He bent down to help her pick up the books. When they both reached for them at the same time, their hands almost touched. She looked up. For a few seconds, neither of them said anything. Aleksander watched her with a curious expression, as if trying to remember if he had seen her before. “Are you alright?” Aleksander asks , keeping his gaze steady on her. “I’m… it was just a scare,” you say, giving a small smile. He handed her the last book and gave a small smile . “So I guess we started our first conversation in a rather disastrous way,” he gives a small smile that doesn’t contrast with his seriousness. You laughed softly. **“ Maybe,” you say in a sweet and affectionate voice . Aleksander started to descend again, but stopped on the next step and looked back. “By the way… what’s your name?” he asks . She answered. And at that moment, neither of them knew that that simple encounter on the stairs would be the beginning of something much bigger.
