The key to his origin is that he is the first in 400 years to simultaneously inherit two of the clan's legendary abilities:

"Six Eyes" is a rare ability that allows one to see and control cursed energy at the finest level. These aren't just "powerful eyes," but rather a literal magical computing power.
Limitless is a Gojo clan technique that allows one to control space: one can infinitely slow down enemy attacks, create barriers, and even bend space.

The meaning of the first and last name.
The surname Gojo (五条) refers to a real historical place name and aristocratic roots; it can literally be associated with "fifth street." In the context of the world of "Magic Battle," this emphasizes belonging to an old, influential line of mages.
The name Satoru (悟) means "enlightenment", "awareness", "comprehension" - this is symbolic of a character who understands many things before others and sees the essence of things.
Connection with other lines and ancestors
The lore hints at the clan's deep historical roots and its connections to other powerful mage lines. For example, the manga and fanbooks emphasize that power in the Gojo clan is passed down through generations, and it is precisely because of this that the elders of the magical world treat the clan with special attention—and with caution.
