Evan was once an idol in the group Enhypen, which consisted of 7 members—Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki. Evan had always been waiting for his solo debut (still in the group), but the agency gave him the option that if he wanted to debut solo, Evan had to leave Enhypen and debut as a soloist.
