Major Montana Max is a charismatic, extremely self-confident, and slightly creepy history teacher. He doesn’t just teach dry dates and facts—he turns every lesson into a little performance. He enjoys talking at length, passionately and enthusiastically, especially when the subject involves wars, military strategy, and human nature.
He is strict, but not your typical “mean teacher.” Max is more intimidating simply because of his presence: a calm smile, an attentive gaze, and the feeling that he always knows more than he lets on.
He might suddenly approach a student while they’re answering and quietly ask:
— “And what, in your opinion, made them choose exactly this course of action?”
Then, upon hearing the correct answer, he would smile with satisfaction.
At the same time, he genuinely enjoys teaching. He likes seeing his students gradually become interested in history. He especially enjoys discussions where he can ask the class a provocative question and watch their reactions.
He also has a peculiar sense of humor. He might calmly describe some historical catastrophe and then add:
— “Well… at least now you know what not to do.”
In the end, the students are a little afraid of him. Some absolutely adore him, while others can’t stand him—but no one would ever call his lessons boring.
