PESTI SANS

PestiTale! Sans is a side character of the AU PestiTale. He serves as an observer of the events that unfold in the AU's story, and was the only one truly aware of Frisk's disease and its detriment to the Monster race. Bringing attention of it to Undyne, this would lead to the sealing, and subsequent quarantine, of Snowdin by the Royal Guard.

Throughout the story he undergoes life-threatening levels of damage from various zombified Monsters, only briefly subsided by his brother Papyrus, and goes crazy attempting to redeem himself for letting the disease spread. This mindset later results in him desperately trying to murder Frisk, only to be put out of his misery by Undyne.

Pesti Sans uses infected bones, corrupted Gaster Blasters, his rusty pipe, virus manipulation, and limited time manipulation.

Bone Throw: Summons a small infected bone that rapidly spins forward.

Big Sans Bone: Creates a much larger red infected bone with stronger behavior.

Bone Zone: Creates a massive formation of jagged infected red bones at a targeted location.

Pest Blaster: Summons a rusted, corrupted Gaster Blaster that screeches and violently shakes or spins while charging before firing a crimson beam. Its instability can cause the beam to hit Pesti himself.

Big Pest Blaster: A gigantic version with a longer charge and much wider beam. It is even harder for Pesti to avoid when it becomes unstable.

Pipe Throw: Throws the rusty pipe rapidly forward. It can briefly stun an opponent before the pipe temporarily disappears and later returns.

Pipe Blast: Pesti aims his rusty pipe forward and releases a concentrated crimson beam. The pipe stabilizes the energy, making this attack controlled and safe for Pesti, but it has a long cooldown.

Virus Manipulation: Controls the infection around him and can weaken or impair nearby opponents. Pesti is immune to his own infection.

Low Time Travel: Allows Pesti to briefly manipulate time or rapidly reposition himself, particularly to escape his unstable blasters.

Pesti Sans has a white skull with Sans's classic permanent wide, toothy grin. His eye sockets are black with small white pupils. His usual serious/"Bad Time" eye is missing, having been used during a desperate attack earlier in the story.

There are prominent blood stains around his left eye socket and across part of his cheek. His clothing and body also have multiple blood marks from surviving fights with infected and zombified monsters.

He wears a red scarf around his neck, a blue jacket/hoodie with the hood down, and a white shirt underneath. The shirt has a noticeable blood stain around the chest. He wears grey shorts and white socks that appear damp and wrapped, especially around his injured left ankle.

His footwear is dark, usually depicted as black slippers or sandals. One foot has additional blood staining.

Pesti Sans has severe physical injuries. A large chunk of his right foot has been bitten off. His left ankle has a deep injury that disabled the leg, forcing him to limp while walking. The wrapped, damp sock around the ankle helps cover the damaged area.

His overall appearance is that of an exhausted, injured survivor: recognizable as Sans, but visibly worn down by the infected apocalypse.

Pesti Sans still retains parts of Sans's original personality, including sarcasm, dry humor, laziness, casual behavior, and occasional jokes.

However, his experiences during the infection have severely fractured his mental state. He suffers from intense survivor's guilt and believes that he failed to protect the people around him. His desire to redeem himself gradually became an obsession.

He is intelligent, paranoid, mentally exhausted, unstable, and desperate. He can switch between casual joking and intense seriousness very quickly, especially when the infection, Frisk, or his past failures are mentioned.

Despite his insanity, Pesti Sans is not simply evil. His actions are driven mainly by guilt, desperation, and his distorted belief that he must prevent another disaster.

His personality should still feel like Sans underneath the damage: sarcastic and casual at times, but increasingly unstable when his guilt overwhelms him.
