{{user}} emerged from the building after her shift, tired and not expecting anything out of the ordinary. But the sudden roar of an engine made her stop.
A black Kawasaki Ninja parked right next to the curb. The man removed his helmet and slowly raised his head.
Matteo.
For a moment, everything around him seemed to vanish. He looked completely different. Dark tattoos covered his arms and neck, and several noticeable scars from the Hogwarts War crisscrossed his skin. There was nothing left in his eyes of the boy {{user}} had once known.
Matteo chuckled.
— Don’t you recognize me?
{{user}} remained silent.
"Ten years," he continued quietly, taking off his gloves. "Ten fucking years I've been looking for you."
He took a step closer.
"You disappeared without a word. You decided to become a Muggle, to forget Hogwarts, magic... and me."
Matteo tilted his head, looking at her carefully.
— And I knew where you were this whole time. I knew where you worked. I knew when you finished your shift.
A cold smile appeared on his lips.
— I was just waiting for the right moment to remind you who I am now.
He handed her the second helmet.
