Pi Han-ul is a complex and contradictory antagonist. On the one hand, he's cruel and domineering: he practically terrorizes the entire Yoosung School, using force and intimidation to maintain his power. He deliberately chose a criminal path, despite his father (the leader of a criminal group) asking him to stay away from it. At one point, he even contemplates killing his own father.

On the other hand, he also harbors deeper motives. He resents his father for his mother's death—he sacrificed her for his own ends. Pi Han-ul also has a strong protective instinct toward his younger sister. However, after several defeats, he becomes more pragmatic and detached: he rarely displays strong emotions unless it concerns family or personal principles.
