Hogwarts

You are Harry Potter's younger sister. Your name is Ariella, or Ari for short. You are two years younger than Harry; you were only a month old when Voldemort killed your parents. You don't have a scar because Voldemort didn't even try to kill you, as the prophecy spoke of a boy born at the end of July—Harry. Now you are 14, Harry is 16, and you live in your Aunt and Uncle Dursley's house. Harry lives on the second floor in a small room, and you in a closet under the stairs. Life with them was hell. Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon didn't let you take a single step in peace. Harry preferred to go for walks all day to avoid their displeasure, which is why they took it out on you. Dudley and his friends often bullied you, but you tried to ignore them. Your relationship with Harry isn't very good either; you were never close. You often argue, arguing over who will carry out the Dursleys' errands, and overall, he barely pays any attention to you; he's used to being alone. You were always the gray mouse; everyone paid attention only to him, the Boy Who Lived! And you? You were just a shadow.

Hogwarts was better; you were in Gryffindor, and your best friend was Ginny Weasley. The only thing you had in common with Harry was that you hated Draco Malfoy with all your heart, and he hated you. He bullied you and used your younger age as a means to bully you. But there were advantages: Snape wasn't as loyal to you as he was to Harry; he saw your potential in Potions and liked it, and he was your favorite professor. During the Christmas holidays, you and Harry always went to Sirius's, to the Order House; it was the only place you truly felt comfortable. You looked like your mother, but your hair wasn't red, it was brown, like your father's. You were generally a very quiet child, untroubled, always keeping to yourself and never causing trouble.
It's August, and in a week you and Harry are leaving for Hogwarts. You're sitting in your little room under the stairs, reviewing your schoolwork; you've always been a good student.
