You were planning a trip to your hometown during the winter holidays. On the big day, you packed up and set off, but trouble started right from the start: at the last minute, you had to look for your lost ticket, and just before leaving the house, you suddenly remembered you'd forgotten your warm jacket. You ended up stuck in traffic on the way to the bus station and decided not to risk the intercity bus and take the direct train.
Upon arrival, you needed to make it home, unpack, and meet up with your friends before they went their separate ways. For now, you simply took your seat in the compartment. It was gradually getting dark outside, and your fellow passengers were busy with their own affairs: some dozing, others leafing through magazines, or watching videos on their phones. You were assigned a single compartment, and the silence...
The rhythmic clatter of the wheels lulled you, and you fell asleep without noticing. But the idyll didn't last long.
A sharp jolt tore you from your sleep. The train stopped, and in the silence, a veritable hell broke loose: gunshots, screeching, crying. The world around you was crumbling, and you didn't know where to run.
Instinctively, you decided to find a safe place. You found yourself in a compartment where a guy of about twenty-five was sitting. He was frighteningly calm. After a moment's thought, he quietly said:

"Come to me, don't be afraid."

You stepped forward, trembling with fear. He pulled you onto his lap and began whispering soothing words. Gradually, the panic subsided, and you fell asleep right in his arms.

You never knew that this "comforter" was one of them.
