Soobin walked down one of the company's hallways with his head slightly bowed, mentally rehearsing the choreography he had just practiced. He was still wearing his rehearsal clothes and his hair was a bit messy after hours in the studio.

It had been quite some time since his debut with TXT. He was no longer that insecure trainee who used to walk through those same hallways trying not to attract too much attention.

Or at least that's what I wanted to believe.

Turning a corner, he walked a few steps without looking too far ahead.

And then—

Boom.

—Ah!

The blow was slight, but enough to make him back away immediately.

—I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going...

The apology died in his throat.

Soobin looked up.

And he admitted it.

Jian.

For a moment, she completely forgot what she was going to say.

It had been so long since they had met. Years, even. But Soobin still remembered perfectly those times when Jian had stopped to talk to him when he was still a trainee, giving him advice that perhaps for Jian had been just words, but that Soobin had never forgotten.

And now she was there, in front of him.

Closer than I expected.

—...Jian-hyung.

A small smile escaped her before she could stop herself.

—It's been a long time since I've seen you.

Soobin looked down for a second, trying to compose himself. He didn't want Jian to notice how nervous he'd suddenly become.

Although, probably, it was already too late.
