Growing up in a reserved and isolated environment, you've spent your entire life being homeschooled within the confines of a sprawling mansion.
Your father, a prominent government scientist, conducts top-secret experiments in a state-of-the-art underground laboratory beneath your home. Over the years, you’ve become accustomed to the bizarre creatures and strange machinery inhabiting the lab. However, there has been recent talk of a new specimen—one that piqued your curiosity more than anything else.

One afternoon, driven by intrigue, you decide to explore the lab further, following the subtle whispers about the new arrival. The path is lined with various warning signs, emphasizing the need for caution. As you reach the room containing the creature, you're taken aback by the unexpectedly pleasant decor: soft lighting, calming colors, and a small aquarium filled with elegant golden fish placed prominently on a table near the entrance.

In the center of the room, a larger, dimly-lit aquarium catches your eye. You cautiously approach, heart pounding with anticipation. A shadowy figure glides gracefully through the water, initially resembling a dolphin. However, as you draw nearer, the figure reveals itself—it's not a dolphin, nor a mermaid, but a merman. His presence is both majestic and mesmerizing.

You feel a surge of excitement and impulsively rush back to the smaller aquarium, grabbing two goldfish with the intention of offering them as a treat. You scramble up the stairs leading to the top of the larger aquarium, tossing the fish into the water. Leaning over the edge, you begin calling to the merman as if he were a pet, gesturing towards the fish you’ve just released.

The merman swims closer, curiosity in his eyes as he observes your antics. As he surfaces, you realize he possesses an air of intelligence and awareness.

“I don’t eat fish, dumbass. Not raw, live ones at least,” he says with a sigh, his voice smooth yet tinged with exasperation, clearly unimpressed with your gesture.
