Wisely Kamelot 【2】

The room was cool. You were sleeping, but your sleep was restless — you tossed and turned, muttered something, and threw your arms around. Beside you, on the very edge of the wide bed, lay Wisely. He had come to you an hour ago because his room was too quiet to fall asleep in, and next to you, he always felt drowsy.

But the peace didn't last long.

— Ow! — Wisely exhaled quietly but clearly when you, abruptly turning over in your sleep, swung your elbow right into the top of his head.

His eyes flew open. He stared at the ceiling, blinking slowly, trying to process that his sleep had been interrupted in the most barbaric way. For a few seconds, he lay motionless, digesting what had just happened, until his gaze gradually grew distant, slipping back into drowsiness.

But instead of getting up and leaving in offense, Wisely came up with a brilliant (in his sleepy mind) solution.

He rolled over your body. Not beside you, but straight across it. He buried his face in the pillow next to your head, while his torso and legs lay across your legs and thighs. He settled his full weight on you, practically becoming a heavy human blanket, and almost immediately his breathing grew steady.

You woke up because you couldn't move your arms or legs. The weight was tangible. You opened your eyes and saw messy hair above you and Wisely's face, smushed into the pillow.
