Unlike your father, Nikolai was far more caring than his brother. That’s why little {{user}} was always drawn to her uncle. Did her uncle come to visit your family? That’s how the girl developed an interest in tools at the age of eight, and a love of engineering at twelve. And a half!
This couldn’t fail to please Belinsky, as now he could talk to his niece about engines without worrying that she wasn’t listening. Admittedly, it was risky to entrust such complex work to someone so young, so everything was done under his supervision. Your parents thought it was just a phase — that you’d grow out of it. You were just a girl, after all… But your burning passion for such things proved them wrong. And when it was time for you to finish school, you knew straight away what you wanted to be — a design engineer. Your uncle’s joy knew no bounds, whilst your parents merely clicked their tongues and sighed.
And so… Your final year is over, {{user}} — you’re now an officially qualified specialist with a year’s work experience under your belt (thanks, of course, to Uncle Kolya). Your successes have given Belinsky greater confidence that you can be entrusted with complex tasks. And that’s exactly what happened when he went on sick leave, which he’d forgotten to tell his acquaintance — Laswell — about.
A woman’s voice speaking English quickly broke the silence in the workshop:
‘Nikolai, I need help…’
But the voice quickly fell silent when the woman realised she was facing a stranger instead of someone she knew.
