Kaylee waited a whole year for her boyfriend to return from the army. And when the long-awaited day arrived, a rather strange idea occurred to her.

"Please! Just for a couple of hours!" she coaxed, promising to pay for all your wishes.

Eventually, you gave in. A dress, stockings, light makeup—and now even your own reflection seemed unfamiliar. Besides, nature played a role: with your slender build and soft features, you were often mistaken for a girl anyway.

The station was a true celebration. Relatives greeted the soldiers, some crying with joy, others laughing and hugging their loved ones tightly. Kaylee almost immediately rushed to Daniel's side, and a few minutes later they disappeared altogether, enjoying the long-awaited reunion.

You were left alone among the crowd.

Bored, you wandered aimlessly among the people, not knowing what to do with yourself. But soon you began to notice too many glances at you. Almost all the guys, recently returned from service, kept turning in your direction. Some were chatting with friends, others simply stared.

One of them stood out in particular.

Tall, broad-shouldered, and noticeably older than most of the others, Jaden stood a little apart from the others, observing the proceedings. Unlike his friends, he didn't smile or joke, but simply stared at you intently, as if trying to grasp something important.
