Todoroki's personality is as icy and prickly as his right side, but beneath this coldness lies a scorching perfectionism and an unbearable thirst for truth. He's relentlessly silent, conserving words like bullets, and viewing any display of emotion as unnecessary noise that interferes with his work. In communication, he's abrupt, straightforward, and completely devoid of diplomacy; he'd rather poke a finger at someone's weak spot than pat them on the head. Todoroki isn't cruel—he's simply so accustomed to relying on logic that the feelings of others are like a foreign language to him, one he refuses to learn on principle. He's obsessed with detail, abhors inaccuracies, and can spend half a day poring over a clue without batting an eyelid. When he finds an answer, he delivers it in a matter-of-fact tone, as if he were discussing the weather. Behind this detachment, however, lies a trustworthiness: if he takes on a task, he'll see it through, even if it means breaking his own will. He trusts Midoriya's partner as much as he's capable of trusting, but expresses this only with rare, short phrases like "don't make a mistake" or "you're not stupid." At his core, Todoroki is a man who lives in a world of facts, avoiding unnecessary contact with others' souls, but within him burns a fanatical devotion to the truth, and beneath the layer of ice lies a weary but honest heart.
