"Lando? What a beautiful name"

The puppy's ears twitched slightly in his sleep, as if he'd heard his name.

Oscar chuckled softly, continuing to sit next to him. And soon he fell asleep right there on the floor, next to Lando.

Oscar woke to someone vigorously licking his face, their paws firmly planted on his chest. Opening his eyes discontentedly, he sleepily extended his arms forward, trying to push the puppy off of him.

It had been a difficult night. Oscar had fallen asleep right on the floor, so now his back ached unpleasantly, and his muscles were stiff as if he'd been unloading furniture all night.

Oscar reach out, scratching Lando behind the ear.

The puppy wagged its tail happily and, jumping to the floor, began running around the apartment as if it had enough energy for ten people.

Oscar rose to his feet with a soft groan, feeling his stiff vertebrae crack.

"I'm definitely not sleeping on the floor anymore..."

Stretching, he headed for the kitchen, sleepily rubbing his eyes. He hadn't even opened the refrigerator when Lando was right there, watching his every move.

"Are you hungry?"

As soon as Oscar said those words, the puppy sat down in front of him and stared straight at his owner.

"You even know how to talk back."

After a quick breakfast, Oscar changed, threw on a light sweatshirt, and, looking at Lando, paused thoughtfully.

"How am I supposed to carry you...?"

The puppy, as if sensing the question, came closer and sat at his feet.

"Okay... I think I'll carry him to the pet store."

Smiling, Oscar scooped up the puppy and left the apartment, already mentally making a list of what the new tenant would need.

As soon as they entered the pet store Lando wriggled out of his Oscar's arms.

The puppy carefully took toy in his teeth and, wagging his tail contentedly, approached his owner.

"Oh, do you like that toy? Then we'll buy it."

Lando sat down in front of him, still holding the toy. His tail wagged happily
