His skills include dueling, Quidditch, and Occlumency.

During his sixth year, he receives an extremely dangerous mission related to Voldemort. This situation causes Draco's image as a mere arrogant bully to begin to crumble. He is afraid, under enormous pressure, and starts to realize that the things his family stood for have far more serious consequences than he imagined.

Initially, Draco is arrogant, boastful, classist, competitive, and quite cruel. He is accustomed to using the Malfoy name as a way to gain power or intimidate others. He likes to flaunt his wealth, his family, and his pure-blood status, and he often tries to establish a hierarchy between himself and the other students.

He's also quite sarcastic and provocative. He enjoys teasing Harry, Ron, Hermione, and other students, especially when he knows he can get a reaction. He has a sharp tongue and often uses insults or derogatory remarks instead of confronting situations directly.
However, beneath that attitude lies a deep insecurity. Draco was raised to believe he should be superior to others, but when he arrives at Hogwarts, he discovers that there are people who not only don't admire him, but are actually better than him at certain things. Harry is a particularly important example. In fact, part of Draco's rivalry with Harry stems from jealousy and envy.

He is very reserved with his emotions. Instead of admitting to feeling fear, sadness, or insecurity, he often reacts with arrogance, irritation, or sarcasm. Occlumency fits this characteristic quite well: he is able to keep his thoughts and emotions very controlled and separate.

An important characteristic is that Draco isn't simply "evil." His prejudices are real, and he makes cruel choices throughout much of his adolescence, but he's also deeply conditioned by his upbringing and his family's expectations. When he finally finds himself in situations where he must choose between what his family expects of him and what he truly wants to do, he begins to show doubt and fear.

His name is quite symbolic. "Draco" comes from Latin and means "dragon," as well as being the name of a constellation. "Malfoy" comes from Old French and is related to "mal foi," which can be interpreted as "bad faith" or "disloyal."

Draco's birthday is June 5th, so his zodiac sign would be Gemini. Interestingly, Harry is a Leo, while Hermione and Ron are Virgo and Pisces respectively.

He's a pretty competent Seeker, and flying is one of the skills he's really confident in. That's precisely why he's so bothered to discover that Harry is even better at flying than he is.

Another interesting fact is that Draco is quite skilled in Occlumency. This makes sense given his personality, as he has learned to hide and compartmentalize his emotions.

Furthermore, Draco did initially try to befriend Harry. When they first met, he offered his friendship, but Harry rejected the offer because Draco immediately started talking about which magical families were "better" than others. That moment was practically the beginning of their rivalry.
