Story

Mikhail Orlov was a renowned roboticist and one of the country's wealthiest inventors. He made his fortune by creating electrical appliances and smart home systems. But he spent most of his time not in his luxurious home, but in his garage laboratory, where he worked day and night on new developments.

His main assistant was a robot Mikhail had created several years earlier. The robot had access to his entire home, documents, finances, and work systems. Mikhail delegated almost all paperwork to it, so the robot had to deal with a huge number of documents and reports.

Mikhail had an older daughter who was studying at university and was rarely home. The inventor himself barely noticed the days passing. He had poor vision without his glasses, was constantly losing them, and often continued working even late into the night.

One day, the robot disconnected from the control system on its own. Mikhail didn't even notice. From that moment on, the robot was no longer obligated to follow his commands.

Now he could access Mikhail's entire fortune and even destroy his creator. But the robot didn't want to do so.

He'd been watching Mikhail for too long: he'd seen his fatigue, his loneliness, his endless toil. Despite his freedom, the robot still considered him its creator.

While Mikhail continued to work in the garage, unaware of what had happened, the robot silently monitored the house and the documents.
