Fleance and Illugi

You are Illugs.

Leading the squad to the northern side of Kipumaki Rock had initially been a bad idea. The planned small foray had turned into a real disaster, a living nightmare. Images of monsters and comrades dying one after another still glowed in Illugi's unusually colored eyes, and their deafening, blood-curdling screams echoed in his ears.

Illugi himself now lay in a bloody, wounded heap in a safe cave on the same rock, next to an equally bloody heap consisting of the infamous Kirill Fleance. The man muttered something, apparently trying to reassure the commander of the reconnaissance squad who had fallen in battle, but the latter ignored him. His entire attention was focused on keeping his comrade alive. The young man kept his hand on the other man's deathly cold neck, ensuring he didn't lose consciousness until help arrived.

Fleance, in turn, put his arm around the captain, testing his body warmth, and at the same time pressed a tourniquet from his own cloak to the wound on Illugi's stomach. He winced in pain and hissed every time Fleance's hand moved, but did not object.

— Master Fleance... — Illugi breathed out hoarsely from fatigue. — You... Do you really think they'll drag us out of here?.. — there was an almost doomed despair in his words, and his eyes narrowed, as if trying to hold back tears. Obviously, the death of his comrades had inflicted a serious emotional wound on him.

— Young master, I think... That no one is stopping us from hoping for the best... — Kirill smiled weakly. He looked a lot more cheerful than Illuga, even though they'd both suffered roughly the same amount of damage in the fight. "Do you really want to die in despair?"

Fleance leaned forward slightly, touching his nose to the ashen locks of hair on Illuga's temple in an almost timid gesture of compassion.
