Gabriel: The third person of the Holy Trinity, who desired to become the only God in the eyes of man and to overthrow the Father and the Son. He is the most important of the alternatives and their creator. Gabriel is a false archangel who killed Mary, pregnant with Christ Jesus, thereby preventing his birth, and presented himself as the "true Savior," as he claimed. He even prevented the disciples who were supposed to come and witness the birth of Christ from doing so. He is Satan himself in the guise of an archangel and false savior. He is quite tall, approximately three meters tall, with slightly wavy gray hair. He wears a gray robe (or chiton), and his hands are usually folded across his chest, interlocked. He often says, "Follow the true savior, do not follow the shepherd."

Sarah is Mark Heathcliff's younger sister and the founder of the Bythorne Paranormal Club, which she founded in high school. Adam Murray later became its leader, turning the club into a regional paranormal investigation society (PIS).

Sarah is the founder of BPS, which began as a regular school club. She attended Bythorne High School, implying that she and her family likely moved from Mandela after Mark's death. She begins by joining Adam on investigations, but after a bad experience, she tells him he needs to find a new investigative partner. Sarah becomes responsible for the online aspect of BPS.

She's frightened by something during Adam's investigation and wants nothing to do with the footage collected afterwards. Adam saves it for her to watch when she feels ready.

Mark Heathcliff is a deeply religious man, a resident of Mandela County, and a former close friend of Caesar Torres. At the age of four, Heathcliff encountered the Intruder, a meeting he miraculously survived, remaining human. Mark Heathcliff lived in Mandela County and had been friends with Caesar Torres since childhood. Apparently, they either lived next door to each other or in the same house, as indicated by Torres's intimate knowledge of the Heathcliffs' home, as well as the fact that upon arriving at Caesar's house, Mark locked himself in "his bedroom."

Mark was also a Catholic Christian believer and often attended the Church of the Archangel Gabriel with his sister Sarah.

At the age of four, Mark experienced an encounter with the Intruder. Late one night, as his father was putting him to bed, Heathcliff became alarmed because his father "hadn't looked under the bed." Frightened and heading for "Mama's room," Mark descended the stairs, facing the door, which revealed pitch darkness. Almost reaching his mother's room, young Heathcliff spotted "a man in a dark corner"—the Intruder, a hooded figure of Albanian descent. Afterward, Mark mysteriously fell asleep, but was not transformed into an alternative, suggesting that Heathcliff was simply an "unfortunate witness."
Twelve years later, when Caesar's transformation into the alternative became apparent, Torres called Heathcliff late at night, saying he was taking his mother to the hospital. Caesar asked Mark to stop by the Torres house and turn on the cameras they had installed after a certain robbery. Mark reluctantly agreed, saying he would "turn them on and leave," as he was afraid of the Torres residence.

Upon arrival, Mark noticed that "something had followed him home," and so decided to stay in the Torres house for a few hours, keeping a close eye on the dark corners of the cells. It was then that Heathcliff noticed the arrival of an uninvited guest.

The cameras gradually begin to malfunction, and an alternate version of Cesar Torres infiltrates the house. Mark commits suicide.

Adam loses consciousness, and Jonah sees 6 in their physical form talking to Adam on camera. When Adam wakes up and finds the basement door open, he asks Jonah to call him, leading to an argument between them. Jonah tells Adam that he is invincible and that they should never have looked for him because he is dead and gone. Jonah then says that if by some miracle Adam leaves the house, it won't actually be him and that he won't be there to confirm it, causing Adam to yell at Jonah, telling him to just leave, which he does. 4:34 AM, Jonah flees onto the highway. 6, whose voice comes from the GPS, calls Jonah a coward for abandoning Adam. 6 then repeats the phrase "open your eyes," causing Jonah to yell, ordering 6 to shut up. Jonah is eventually captured by the alternate Gabriel and lies bleeding in a field.

All was quiet until an unnamed customer called and mentioned hearing her deceased cat, Johnny, meowing. Jonah offered him as a "cat alternative," but the woman rejected him, believing Johnny simply needed peace. When the woman offered $500 per night for three nights, Jonah was visibly agitated.

As the two prepare to leave, their car won't start. They consider their options: try to fix it or steal someone else's. Adam tries to fix the car while Jonah eats chips, but ultimately they decide to steal a car with a built-in GPS.

Along the way, Adam and Jonah chat, mentioning that they are orphans who have spent their entire lives on the run. Jonah also questions the existence of alternatives and the ban on screens and mirrors, saying he doubts "that guy's face would have shown up" on their GPS.

Upon arrival, Jonah remains in the car and watches Adam as he explores the house. After asking if Jonah is calm, Jonah teases Adam and asks what they're even doing there. Adam asks Jonah if he can take the situation seriously, and Jonah replies that he doesn't need to, given that he's still in the car. Adam rebukes this statement, saying he's just scared and that he's too frightened, causing Jonah to become defensive.

The next morning, Jonah suggests they leave, saying they don't like the atmosphere in the house. Adam tells Jonah to accept it and claims the house is empty, but before Jonah can continue, they are both interrupted by a woman's scream coming from inside the house. Adam, further tempted by the scream, convinces Jonah to stay another night.

During the second night, strange events occur, including Jonah's voice coming from Adam's radio, screaming, "OH MY GOD, BEHIND YOU." At one point, they are both interrupted by a voice saying it's watching them, infuriating them both.

Jonah Edmund Marshall – A member of the Bythorne Paranormal Society, he and Adam Murray are wanted by the FBI and are currently on the run, posing as paranormal investigators while following Adam's search for someone he lost. Jonah is a tanned man with a high face and dyed-blond hair. He wears a dark jacket with a light-colored hood.

Jonah is a carefree but very anxious person. When Adam asks him to be serious, Jonah often responds with a joke, but always avoids causing harm, such as staying in their car. Jonah loves crab chips and pizza.

Adam is Jonah's best friend and a member of the Bythorne Paranormal Society. He and Jonah are wanted by the FBI. He has also been shown to be impatient and irritable. Adam is a very sincere and serious person, often asking Jonah to be serious and becoming irritated when he doesn't. Despite this, Adam is shown to be extremely reckless when alternatives are involved. Adam, like Jonah, is an orphan and a member of the Bythorne Paranormal Society (BPS), where the three of them, along with the society's founder, Sarah Heathcliff (their friend), supposedly chase and catch alternatives, although, as one can understand, they themselves do not believe this and think people are simply crazy. It is unclear why Adam is so involved in searching for alternatives, but it is possible that he is trying to find his mother, who committed suicide when Adam was still young. Adam also dislikes it when Jonah is not serious.

Jonah lives in Mandela's District, where so-called "Alternatives" have long been terrorizing. These are doubles who can completely assume the appearance of, for example, a victim's acquaintance or relative, driving the victim to suicide. In Mandela's district, and several other districts, the Alternatives have already kidnapped more than three thousand children when their parents leave them alone with the television. Then, an Alternative emerges from the television and steals the child. They say on television that they're trying to fight the Alternatives (although this is clearly not true), but if you encounter one, you can try shooting it with a shotgun, which clearly doesn't work, and also close your eyes and don't speak to it. The main rule: Nothing is worth the risk.
