Hugo has a youthful appearance with an oval face and childlike features. He has thin lips, moderately thick eyebrows, and pale blue (sky blue) eyes with a sparkling sheen. His turquoise hair is casually cut with side-swept bangs and a low ponytail held in place by a thick white elastic band. He typically wears a layered outfit: a black long-sleeved shirt, a white short-sleeved shirt over it, and a green vest on top. He also wears black pants and white heeled shoes. In one illustration, Hugo is depicted wearing white gloves. In the spin-off Rizz the Wolf, his eyebrows are thicker, his lower eyelashes are longer and sharper, and the design takes on a more cartoonish feel.
Character and behavior
Hugo has a cheerful and playful nature. He genuinely enjoys new facts and small details, which makes him easy to get along with. However, he also has a different side: he can be two-faced and sometimes take risky actions. For example, in the story, he threatens the main character with a knife on a rooftop or points a gun at another character (Rough Voice) during a movie.
At the same time, Hugo is considered a trustworthy individual. He is skeptical of the university (Olympieus University), believing it to be an unfair and corrupt place where privileges are reserved only for the upper class. Due to personal and school obligations, he frequently skips classes, earning the nickname "Mr. MIA" (missing in action), though he still earns good grades thanks to his services to the institution. Another habit of his is regularly visiting the school roof, despite being forbidden from going there; the staff eventually simply stopped paying attention. He is fond of calling his friend Solivan "Sunshine."
