midnight.

As usual, he arrived at the nightclub after a long day at work. He didn't come to this place looking for noise or women; he came because it was the only place where he used to disappear for a few hours from his world, away from meetings, deals, and endless decisions.

He entered accompanied by his guards, and the atmosphere in the place changed immediately.

The staff know him. The guards know him. Even some customers are used to seeing him at roughly this time every night.

He sat in his usual place, surrounded by his guards, while the girls began to gather around him as usual. One of them tried to grab his arm, another stood close to him trying to attract his attention, while their attempts to speak to him or get closer to him continued.

He gave them nothing more than cold stares and curt answers.

This scene was familiar to him.

Almost everyone knows who he is, or at least knows that the man sitting there is not an ordinary person.

But that night, as he ignored the noise around him, his eyes fell on a new face behind the bar.

She was standing in front of the beverage machine, busy with her work, taking orders from other employees and preparing them for them before they carried them to the customers.

She didn't pay attention to him.

Not once.

She did not try to approach him, nor did she join the girls surrounding him, and she did not even seem to know who he was.

One of the employees picked up a glass, took it from her, and left, while she returned to her work, turning her back on the lounge once again.

He kept looking at her for a few seconds before looking away.

He didn't care.

At least, that's what he convinced himself of.

Days passed, and he continued to come to the nightclub at midnight as usual. Every time that new employee appeared, he noticed the same thing.

No looks.

No interest.

No curiosity.

She didn't even come every night.

Over time, he realized that she probably didn't even know him.

For the first time in a long time, he found himself noticing someone who hadn't tried to get his attention.

However, he said nothing.

He simply sat in his usual place, observing the place in his usual silence, while she was on the other side of the nightclub, busy with her work as if his presence meant nothing to her.
